Want to have fun and stay cool in Kelowna this weekend? Check out these awesome events! There’s an 80s Dance Party with your favorite 80s songs, a comedy show for lots of laughs, a cool rock and gem show, a music festival by the lake, and a fun park event for everyone. And don’t forget to take a dip or relax by the beautiful Okanagan Lake to beat the heat. Lots of ways to have fun and stay cool this weekend!

3. 16th Annual Okanagan Rock & Gem Show

Location: Rutland Centennial Hall
Presented by By: 1120 Rock Club & The Vernon Lapidary & Mineral Club
Date & Time: July 12-14 @ 12 pm – 8 pm

The 16th Annual Okanagan Rock & Gem Show is happening this July! Hosted by your local 1120 Rock Club and the Vernon Lapidary & Mineral Club, this is an event you won’t want to miss.
The show will be at Rutland Centennial Hall (215 Shepherd Road) and will go from July 12th to July 14th.

Hours are as follows:
Friday July 12 – 12:00pm to 8:00pm
Saturday July 13 – 9:00am to 5:00pm
Sunday July 14 – 10:00am to 4:00pm

We will have all types of vendors selling amazing rocks, crystals, minerals, fossils, jewelry, and more! There will be multiple silent auctions every day, the famous Spin & Win, the showcase competition, and other activities for kids. Fun for the whole family! There will also be a food truck on site both Saturday and Sunday, Samosa Joe’s! Admission will be by donation. All proceeds will go directly to the rock clubs. The local rock clubs are not-for-profit organizations that provide rockhounding and lapidary activities for members. These events are extremely helpful in supporting the clubs.

 

4. Rock the Lake Festival Ft. Tom Cochrane, Theory of a Deadman, Our Lady Peace & 54-40

The iconic 3-day outdoor summer festival is back July 12-14th, featuring its largest line-up yet with rock legends including Tom Cochrane, Theory of a Deadman, Our Lady Peace, 54-40, and more! Discover outdoor fun at Park & Play, a free event for all ages! Join us in various parks across the city to enjoy recreational activities like Ladderball, inflatables, giant board games, and more. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors for an evening of fun. Plus, Festivals Kelowna’s ParksAlive! program will be on-site six different times this summer with musical entertainment. 6. Kelowna Farmers & Crafters Market

Location: Landmark District
